A most personal collection of songs and instrumentals.

An attempt to express my deepest thoughts and come to terms with feelings, brought to the fore witnessing the passing of my mother over an intensely long drawn out period of time.

The instrumentals are a portrayal of a keen sense of time that came to bear down on everyone in my family and those close friends who had known my mother, some since she was very young. They are also an attempt to conjure a feeling of creeping paralysis to direct the conscious mind to reflect on being alive but only able to receive sense, gradually losing all ability to interact with the word.

The songs are in some way a release from a fierceness of grief felt in the lead up to the death of a loved one. Lyrically, they move from the sense of hope and positivity found in believing in a better future; through reflections on longing, loss reaching total despair; to a sense of resolution and acceptance.
